Volt Africa Limited has been at the forefront of the Green Mini-Grid Projects since 2013. As a company approved by the Rural Energy Agency (REA) and the Ministry of Energy, we have developed numerous off-grid projects in Tanzania, including some in the isolated communities on the islands of Lake Victoria.

These communities were previously 100% isolated from the mainland, with no access to electricity. Through our Green Mini-Grid projects, we have brought electricity to thousands of households in these areas, improving the lives of the people who live there. Currently, Volt Africa Limited has been approved to provide electricity to more than 4,000 households under the REA program. Our mission is to electrify more than 20,000 households in the next 10 years. These projects are at different stages of development and will continue to bring much-needed electricity to more communities across Tanzania.
